The Moulton Police Department is comprised of a full time Chief of Police and patrolman plus seven part time officers.
Although a small law enforcement agency, the Department provides 24-hour/7-days a week coverage.
The Moulton Police Department is well equipped with mobile and portable radios, a radio repeater, video cameras and computers for both patrol units. This equipment has been purchased through grants at no cost to the City of Moulton taxpayers
Other grant requests are currently in queue. The Police Department has requested a records management system, additional portable radios, and equipment for the City of Moulton’s Emergency Operations Center located within City Hall.

Mark Zimmerman - Chief of Police
The Chief of Police (click here to e-mail) enforces state and municipal laws and manages the personnel and activities of the Police Department in order to provide a safe environment for citizens. this is accomplished by investigating criminal offenses, providing community outreach, preparing and presenting criminal cases, assisting with accidents, coordinating dispatching duties, and responding to calls for services, managing activities and supervising personnel.
Chief Zimmerman has over 32 years of experience in Law Enforcement. Of the 32 years, 27 years have been with the Moulton Police Department, 22 plus years as Chief of Police and over 4 years as a part time officer. In addition Chief Zimmerman has been a patrolman and reserve officer for the City of Shiner Police Department and a Reserve Deputy for the Dewitt County Sheriff Department. He is active in his community and he and his family are members of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus (3rd and 4th degree), Moulton Chamber of Commerce, Lavaca County Area Go Texan Committee, and is on the advisory board of the Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission, Public Protection Committee.
Ed Kusak - Patrolman
The patrolman's (click here to email) position is to enforce state and municipal laws, investigate criminal offenses, provide community outreach, prepare and present criminal cases, assist with accidents, coordinate dispatching duties and respond to calls for service.
Officer Kusak has over 31 years of experience in Law Enforcement. He started his Law Enforcement career with the Point Comfort Police Department in 1978 and joined the Moulton Police Department on August 15, 2005
