Public Works & Utilities

Moulton has a city crew comprised of six people whose function is to oversee the operation and maintenance of the city's infrastructure. 
While they all work together and are cross-trained, each has a primary responsibility.

Electric Department

This department is responsible for:

• installation
• operation
• maintenance
• repair and troubleshooting of the city's electrical system and facilities.
• The department also reads meters

Water & Wastewater Department

This department is responsible for:

Maintenance of two wastewater treatment plants Maintains seven sewer lift stations Responsible for the maintenace of three water wells Installs new water and sewer lines Performs fire hydrant maintenance Performs maintenance on water and sewer lines Reads meters

Parks Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Moulton's City Park along with the following: Landscaping around Veteran's Memorial Assists in animal control and maintaining the animal shelter

Streets & Drainage Responsible for maintaining streets and ditches within Moulton's city limits. Other responsibilities include: Mowing Installation and repair of signage Culvert installations Pavement repair
